The Language Studio offers small group classes to help middle and high school students advance in writing and literature studies.  

The next semester runs from September 2, 2019 through November 25, 2019.

Proposed courses include:

Essay Techniques

Writing Styles

Writing a Research Paper

Poetry Connections

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

The Foundations, Psalm 113--covers Bible, history, science, and apologetics  (Answers in Genesis video course, plus additional material)

The Gospel in Film (including The Pilgrim's Progress, The Hiding Place, and additional short films)

Each class includes reading, writing, and discussion. Additional reading and writing will be assigned. The teacher will provide feedback through Google Drive or similar technology.

Mondays

9:00-10:00 AM

10:30-11:30 AM

1:00-2:00 PM

Tuesdays through Thursday

1:00-2:00 PM

Classes meet for one hour per week. To plan for the upcoming school year, please email me at 317daniel@gmail.com and include the following, plus any questions you may have:

Parent names, address, phone number, and email address.

Student names and ages and grade level each student is entering.

The time slots you are available and the courses you are interested in. I will try to schedule each course for the time slot that most are available. Class size is limited to four students per time slot.

I am open to considering running the courses at your location for larger class sizes with different pricing, depending on distance and the ability to work around the other classes in my home.

Cost is $800 per semester per student. $200 is due when you register. The remaining amount is due at the first class. The price includes books and materials that I want you to have.

While we will read and write about various topics, our guiding principle is 1 Peter 3:15:

"But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that you have. But respond with gentleness and respect..."
